Serica has landed in Chicago! Nearly 40 joined us for a small screening and gathering to celebrate AAPI & Asian film at the inaugural Community Monthly Short Films Showcase! This series is aimed at honoring and featuring local Asian & AAPI filmmakers and creating a community for to find more funding for their films.

Through My Eyes follows four individuals with disabilities leading four able-bodied individuals through a day in the life of their disability. Watch and be inspired to expand your capacity to empathize and learn.
Asha Rao from Chicago Kasam, also an Occupational Therapist by day, sat down with the Director Sujit Singh and had a delightful conversation about the film and its origins, his experience working with the cast and crew, and challenges and opportunities they faced while filming. He even gave everyone a heart warming update on where everyone in the film is at now. Enjoy a clip from the candid and insightful chat here.
